Have you ever thought about how long it takes for you to ingest food and the time it takes to exit it out? We refer this as your transit time and this can give you insight on your digestive health.
The general rule is usually the time you’ve consumed food, it should take about 12-24hrs for your digestive system to break those foods down and eliminate those waste products. But how can you tell from your bowel movement and figure out if it was yesterdays dinner by the appearance? If you didn’t know, most bowel movements are usually brown and generally don’t take on the color of the food you ate.
